Introduction

Kenton Snyder:
Hey everybody! Welcome in, and thank you for taking the time. We’re just going to give everyone a moment to join in, and then we’ll get kicked off. I’m really excited to be talking about Share of Voice today—especially showing you some new features we’ve rolled out in Intentwise.

Before we dive in, how was Prime Day for everyone? If you have any wins or losses you want to share in the chat, feel free—I’d love to hear how things panned out.

Prime Day Observations

Kenton Snyder:
From what we noticed at Intentwise, there was a definite increase in volume—more clicks and impressions across the board. But there was a slight drop in efficiency, especially with AOVs (average order values) trending lower, which impacted ROAS a bit. Still, it looked like a fairly successful Prime Day overall. We’re curious to see how that translates into the second half of the year.

What is Share of Voice and Why It Matters

Now, let’s dive in. This session is all about Share of Voice (SOV)—what it means, why it matters, and how to use it to make informed advertising and merchandising decisions.

We’ll start with the basics and then move into advanced workflows. Whether you’re tracking competitor presence, planning ad budgets, or managing keyword coverage—SOV is one of the most powerful levers you can pull.

Real-World Use Cases of Share of Voice

  • Competitive Tracking: Monitor your market share against top competitors and measure brand visibility.
  • Content & Creative Testing: Validate whether content changes drive stronger presence.
  • Budget Allocation: Identify where to increase spend or pull back based on SOV gaps.
  • Retailer Collaboration: Strengthen your case with retail partners using SOV benchmarks.

Intentwise’s Share of Voice Features

In this session, Kenton showcases the newest SOV dashboards in Intentwise, including:

  • Time-series trend views to measure SOV over time
  • SOV by keyword, brand, and ASIN
  • Integration with other data layers like retail media performance
  • Automation for flagging drops in visibility or competitor spikes

Pro Tips for Using SOV Effectively

Kenton shares practical advice for advanced users, including:

  • Setting benchmarks by category and sub-category
  • Building alerts for strategic keywords
  • Comparing brand vs. third-party SOV
  • Using SOV trends to guide promotional calendars

Final Takeaways

If you want to understand how your brand is performing organically and through ads, and whether your investments are yielding visibility—SOV is your best friend.

This webinar arms you with the tools and insights to operationalize Share of Voice across your team and campaigns.

Your Share of Voice is the ultimate map of your Amazon performance. Share of Voice tells you how often you come up in search results compared to your competitors.

Tracking your Share of Voice can help you troubleshoot why your revenue dropped (maybe a competitor increased their ad spend?) as well as identify opportunities for overtaking your competitors. If you have a higher conversion rate but a low Share of Voice relative to the competition, for instance, it’s time to boost your spend.

In this webinar, Kenton Snyder, Product Evangelist at Intentwise, and Sreenath Reddy, CEO at Intentwise, will show you how to take that Share of Voice data to the next level.

Learn how to:

  • Access trended data over time. Share of Voice shouldn’t just be a single snapshot. Here’s how to track your SOV changes over months and years, to immediately glimpse how your standing has changed.
  • Make direct comparisons to top competitor brands. Collate data from many different sets of searches to understand how you stack up to your competitors across the entire marketplace.
  • Roll up performance by product or brand. See how you compare to the competition not just at the keyword level but also at the brand- and product-level.
