The challenge
Until recent years, Jigsaw Health used to rely on a single employee to handle its Amazon ad business. That employee was tasked with downloading reports from Amazon, monitoring the results of the platform’s auto campaigns, optimizing bids on keywords, and everything else.
It was time consuming and inefficient, and it also meant the entire company would be vulnerable if that employee left. “To have somebody on staff doing that full time is sometimes difficult to find the talent for,” said Natalie Ochoa, the COO of Jigsaw Health.
When it came to crafting its overall ad strategy, Jigsaw also didn’t have a sophisticated plan. It was a lot of throwing ideas at the wall, then waiting to see what happened. “It really wasn’t a good system,” Ochoa said.
The solution
For Jigsaw, working with Intentwise streamlined the process. The Intentwise team combed through Jigsaw’s full suite of Amazon auto campaigns in search of the top performers. Then, Intentwise converted those high performers into manual campaigns, and put extra money behind them. Such detailed monitoring would have been difficult for a single employee to do without the support of Intentwise’s Ad Optimizer.
Intentwise also built Jigsaw an automatically refreshing view of its top-performing products, the success of their branded vs. non-branded keywords, and so on. Rather than downloading reports from Amazon every day, Jigsaw could now see all of that critical data across its 20+ products.
The results materialized quickly. Over one year with Intentwise, Jigsaw’s Total Advertising Cost of Sales (TACOS) dropped 20%. Already, the company was getting a lot more bang for its advertising buck.
“They have really delivered the needs without very much being required on our side in terms of time,” Ochoa said. “Pretty much every metric has increased since we started with Intentwise.”
