The challenge
Amazon aggregators like Elevate Brands operate dozens of different brands at once—but analyzing some of those data points isn’t easy.
Take, for instance, a search term report. Extracting insights from one search term report is difficult enough. But because Elevate Brands manages 35+ brands, it had to keep track of 35+ reports simultaneously - not to mention all of the other advertising and business reports.
The company hired a team of virtual assistants who spent all day downloading and processing these reports from Amazon. They organized the reports into a massive web of Google Docs and Google Sheets. It was an agonizing process that often took weeks to complete.
Tony Morales, VP of Advertising Operations at Elevate Brands, wanted to see what percentage of his ad impressions were coming from top-of-search placements. He knew ads that appear high in search results convert better, and he wanted to use the data to inform his bid strategy.
But because of the time it took to organize the search term reports from Amazon, sourcing those insights was a major challenge. Morales had to wait as much as a month to untangle the results for some insights.
The solution
With Intentwise Analytics Cloud, all of Elevate Brands’ data was pulled, organized, and visualized—automatically. For Morales, the data management solution within Intentwise Analytics Cloud meant he could finally receive a live, constantly refreshing look at how many of his ad impressions were coming from top-of-search ads.
That ability to access the data from all 35 brands in a single dashboard, with new metrics and insights available immediately, let Morales get more experimental.
Thanks to Intentwise, Elevate Brands could play around with its bid strategy—such as by shifting more of its budget to top-of-search ads—and immediately analyze the results. Before Intentwise, it might take a month until Morales knew how the new approach was working. Since using Intentwise, however, he could re-adjust his strategy after just a couple of days.
Analytics aren’t the only part of Intentwise that Morales has valued, either. He said he was impressed by “the level of leadership, communication, and regular discussion, particularly when talking about our business needs and ideas around feature requests.” Ultimately, he said, “The communication with Intentwise is top notch.”
